Wayside Cottage –
Self Catering in Perthshire
Wayside is located in the heart of Scotland in rural Perthshire, just five minutes from the A9 to the north of Perth and on Sustrans cycle route 77. The cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, and their international airports, are only about an hour away by car.
The house is situated in the centre of our 400 acre Moneydie Farm and was originally the farm grieve’s cottage. It accommodates five, has a mature garden with lawn, ample parking and is airy, bright and spacious. Picture windows allow you to enjoy fabulous views whatever the season, and wildlife is never far away, from garden birds to roe deer, buzzards and the more elusive otters on the nearby Shochie Burn .
We spent last year completely refurbishing the cottage to a high standard with new furnishings, kitchen and bathrooms.

Just ten minutes by car, Perth has many cafes and restaurants, an award winning Concert Hall, Theatre and individual shops which are a joy to browse - and you could easily lose a day wandering around the museum and art galleries. Perth has been voted the best place to live in a UK poll and has been a regular winner in Britain in Bloom.
Once you’ve exhausted the immediate area take a day out to the nearby villages and towns of Dunkeld, Crieff, Auchterarder, Aberfeldy or Pitlochry, or travel a bit further afield to Inverness, Oban (gateway to the Isles) or the Cairngorms. If you’re a golfer, St Andrews is 1 hr 15 mins by car and Gleneagles just 20 minutes away.
We are fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland and will be happy to share our local knowledge to help you make the most of your stay.
