Wayside Cottage

Off the beaten track, yet just off the A9 and less than 10 minutes from Perth, dog friendly Wayside lies at the heart of the Strang family’s Moneydie Farm.  The cottage sleeps five, is bright and spacious, and furnished to a high standard with all mod cons including wifi. The spacious lounge with fabulous views, oak floor and open fire is a great place to relax after a day out.

Only an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh at the gateway to the Highlands, our central location makes for easy access to a host of walks, golf courses, rivers, castles, distilleries, gardens, wildlife, good food and shopping, music, culture and activities for all ages. 

It might be winter, but there’s still a wide variety of things to see and do.  The Pitlochry Winter Words Festival runs until 5 February and the choice of music and concerts at Perth Concert Hall and Theatre should cover all tastes. Perth Farmers Market is held on the first Saturday of the month and showcases the best of local produce.

And looking further ahead, Perth Festival of the Arts, 17 – 27 May has just announced the line up which ranges from the Berlin Symphony Orchestra to Jools Holland to a ceilidh with band Skippinsh.  Booking opens in March!
